With a heavier, anthemic sound, Newcastle five piece Parallax Skies are back with a brand new single. Moving away from the measured, considered sound of their debut EP ‘Pages From Ceefax‘ released back at the end of 2017 , ‘Strike It Lucky‘ is the band’s first release since then.
Following support slots with The KVB and Space, plus an excellent set at Hit The North Festival, the band (Andy Brown on Vocals / Guitar, George Stainsby, Guitar, Ian T Hall, Guitar, Paul Rookes Bass and Marty Hayes on Drums) have been laying down tracks at Sunderland’s The Bunker. The first result of the time spent recording is their debut single.
‘Strike It Lucky’ opens with an instantly catchy guitar riff and packing one hell of a melodic punch, propelling itself into your subconscious in effortless fashion. ‘Strike It Lucky‘ combines vibrant vocals with jangly guitar interludes and a rousing chorus. It delivers an infectious, fun ride of a record that’s steeped in indie-rock values. Take a listen to Parallax Skies, a band on a definite upward curve.
