The Dandelion Deadbeats – Waiting For The Thunder

Norwegian four-piece The Dandelion Deadbeats have featured twice before on Alternative Tracks with their previous two excellent releases ‘The Ballad Of Dan The Lion‘ and ‘Hoodlum Havoc‘. ‘Waiting For The Thunder’ is more restrained track, first listen I wasn’t too sure, but it’s a real grower. The track builds slowly on the back of a melodic guitar riff and Jarle Skavhellen’s distinct vocals, before layered harmonies overlap to lift it towards an anthemic chorus. The overall sound manages to mix the slightly ethereal vibe befitting the band’s home town of Bergen with something more epic and mainstream. Turn up the volume and take a listen.
